About
About Me
Irene is an ex-Amish woman who grew up on a farm in a rural Old Order Amish community in Geneva, IN. Being the oldest girl in a family of 16 children, she worked very hard. She also played hard and loved every minute. Irene never thought she would ever leave her beloved community where she felt content serving the family. In fact, Irene never wanted to leave the safe haven of the Amish community until she began to search for truth.
Together Irene and her husband left their Amish world with their five sons. After being excommunicated from the Amish church, Irene gave birth to another son. Eight years later, they adopted their seventh son. Irene ventured out into the wilderness of life, serving in various capacities such as a women’s jail ministry for 7 years and currently speaking engagement to help women with the same situation as the one she came from and people in need. Irene lives a very fulfilled life as a grandmother, entrepreneur, and encourager of those in need.

I feel blessed beyond anything I could have imagined and thoroughly enjoy my life, friends, and family. I pray that my books are an encouragement to all who read my story.
Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to his purpose.
